I've always done yoga and when I started Jiu-Jitsu I was like damn how do you do Jiu-Jitsu without doing yoga? The two to me are totally interrelated they are complementary and one totally enhances the other. I was online looking for yoga for VJJ and found Sebastian Steen's platform, the Yoga for VJJ and realized that they had a teacher training course coming up. I didn't hesitate I booked on to the teacher training the level one.
I've always wanted to teach yoga and this was the perfect opportunity. The course was very comprehensive it was awesome it was all online but the community was what really made it special. What you're learning is how to teach yoga but also how it's related back to Jiu-Jitsu and how everything interconnects, how it all helps your body at different stages of your Jiu-Jitsu journey. So there are lots of benefits to yoga.
Yoga for VJJ has all those benefits but also there's a lot more skills that are transferable back onto the mat when you do Jiu-Jitsu.
