Sebastian explains how the platform works, the flexibility test, and the three-step program so you know exactly where to begin.
Hi and welcome to the website. I am Sebastian, your host and I'm assuming that you do jiu-jitsu, you love jiu-jitsu and you want to do it for life and you need mobility and flexibility to do that and sometimes you feel really stiff. Am I correct? Good.
The first thing I want you to do is to know, not guess, but know. You want to know and I want to know exactly how flexible or stiff you are so you can take a test. We created a 12 test program where you do 10 minutes of tests and you get a score and if you score under five or six points you can do the one program and if you score above five or six points you can do the other program. It's good to be put in the right cohort in order to not have the wrong assumptions all the time so it feels much better to go into the right kind of stiffness group if you will.
Then we created a three-step program. Step one is just introduction videos. We used to call it the 10 in 10. 10 minute videos in 10 days and then the startup week.
We changed the names of it a little bit but basically taking you through the absolute foundations. A little bit of tutorials, a little bit of flows, a little bit of everything in your body and the goal is not for me to teach you so much. I'm trying to teach you stuff but I can only teach you things. I can't learn it for you.
I want to expose you. I want you to have mad time. Yoga mad time where you get to know your body because you do a lot of mistakes with your body. You turn the elbows the wrong way.
You place the hands in the wrong places and that's why you're feeling stiff and that's why you're feeling weak. Maybe when you're doing the arms overhead you do like this instead of doing it like this or even like this and that's why you're stiff. You never get the right stimulus. I want to take you through every possible position and stay there for a while to give you exposure and stimulus to new kind of movements and the patterns and that's going to make that's going to unlock you and make you feel less like this and more like like this.
Jazz is what we're after. We want our jiu-jitsu to be jazzy. We don't want to be the jiu-jitsu guy that just pulls half guard and just does this kind of jiu-jitsu. It's not fun.
You can win but it's not fun. You want to be a jazzy jiu-jitsu guy and that's what I can help you with and the yoga is jazz. You will be able to place your hands there and transition between the legs. That's what we want.
Step two is the step one is just basic basic videos. Step two is more tutorials and longer flows and step three is the foundation program. I've had members for over 10 years that have been doing the foundation program and they love it. What I love about my work and what you're going to love about the videos is that they're evergreen.
They never go there is no expiration date on the video. The videos I recorded 13 years ago are still as relevant today because the problems in your body are exactly the same as people had a hundred years ago. Maybe only more that it's more exaggerated now when people are more and more sedentary and they they move less. So combining a sedentary lifestyle with an active jiu-jitsu lifestyle is deadly unless like I feel like I am the bridge and connection and savior.
I am the savior of your jiu-jitsu unless you already have a very athletic and good lifestyle but most people overlook the stretching in the yoga and that's where I think I can help. A couple of things I don't want you to miss. We have programs further down in the library. You have to scroll all the way down and we have recover after rolling.
We have the back to practice. Let's say you had six months off because of injury or you just didn't have time. We have specific programs that we know jiu-jitsu people appreciate. We also have something called casual membership.
If you're a ten dollar per month cheap member and you only have access to the 10 minute videos we put a lot of videos only there. So even if you're a full member you can scroll down to the casual membership and look we have hundreds and hundreds of videos. The goal is not for you to do a new video every day. If you're that type of person fine but my goal of creating a library of 500 videos and having all these different instructors and all these biases and all these names is for you to go through until you find something that clicks with you.
Because maybe there are 2 000 yoga positions. You can try all of them but you're only going to love 10, 15, 20 of them and those are going to be your keepers, your best friends for the rest of your life. So out of 500 classes probably you're not going to really love more than 10 of them and then you can do those classes forever and ever and ever and you're going to keep loving them. And of course you can you can diverge from it and try new classes and find new favorites but it is like your favorite food.
Your favorite food is more or less you know either Mexican or Thai or whatever it's going to be your favorites for a long time. So that's the goal with these videos is for you to have lots of exposure and learn things and get new stimulus but find your favorites save them as favorites and create your own favorite playlist. But with all this said what matters more than anything else more than any videos or any positions is the consistency. And I thought I was a yoga teacher but I realized more and more that I need to be a consistency coach.
I need to help you be consistent and being a motivational speaker is not it. It doesn't help motivation doesn't help. It's a short thing. Motivation comes and it goes.
What you need for consistency is I wanted to say discipline but that's also it also goes up and down. You need to create an environment where you cannot not do yoga. It's the only thing you can do because it just feels stupid to not do it. And I have found two ways that works really well.
Printing out a physical paper in the real world and put it on your fridge. The habit tracker that we created with a 12 mobility test. Every time you look at the habit tracker you see the 12 positions that you want to improve. If you got a five score every time you look at that I want to be able to do that.
You need to be reminded constantly that this is high priority and every time you do a class you put it on the habit tracker so that you physically feel like I achieved something. I got a little cross or maybe even a gold star. It matters. Maybe it's childish maybe it's like a like a pee and poo tracker that you had when you were two years old.
But some parts of us are still two years old and we need that verification that we do a little stamp or whatever. It matters. The other thing that you can do is your phone. Your lovely amazing phone that's good for so many things but it also sucks us in too much.
Removing many of the notification just blocking notification to some apps and then putting a notification a task in your calendar that says do 10 minutes of yoga. Take a breath and do yoga. Relax take a breath sit down on the floor and do yoga. Call it what you want but just put that as a daily reminder that it never goes away.
Never delete it. You can swipe it away but it's going to come back the next day. You can put it off and you can procrastinate but the system is in place where you just have to get consistent otherwise you get guilty conscious every time you don't do it. That guilty conscious can be a driver of change because you need to shape because what you have been doing so far didn't work so well and that's why you found me.
And I'm here to coach you to say get consistent by creating an environment that forces you to get consistent because when you get consistent magic will happen. It's a guarantee. That's why I have a full refund guarantee with consistent practice. If you do six weeks of daily yoga 10 minutes you're going to see amazing results not because I'm amazing because your body is the most adaptable thing in the universe.
We've never seen any animal or any system adapt so well as a human being in a human body and you can already do jiu-jitsu which pre-qualifies you. You're the easiest customer in the world because you already have the will determination and the grit and everything that's needed in a customer. So I have the easiest job in the world. All you need to do is show up on the mat and get consistent and if you have any specific particular problems just shoot me a message.
I will be happy to help and the solution will always be easy as long as you show up on the mat we can fix any problem easily. But follow this out like take the test first, see how stiff you are, either go through the main pipeline or take a detour and do the yoga for rocks or the stiff programs and you're gonna enjoy it. And then if you need anything I'm always here. Cheers guys good luck!
