Welcome to the last video in this series which is the camel and the wrap-up. So we've just finished a bam bam sequence so people's pulls are like at 80, 85, 90% of their max. So you will basically just tell people from dog float forward to your chins, drive your hips up and forward, hands on the butt and lower back, chest high, hips forward, lift your chest because people will be like So this will be enough for many people and then you say if you can tuck your toes and reach for your heels for a full back bend because the one we just did is not really a full back bend, it's basically just a spinal extension, but this is a full back bend People can really feel the reality of yoga right here after like boom boom boom boom and then So this is great. This can be like a revelation for people to do this after the bam bam and then you tell them to re-engage, lift your chest, come back to seated seated on your chins, one hand on the belly, one hand to your chest, close your eyes and check in.
Find a way to help them self-reflect. I always try to contrast the beginning of the class with the end of the class because we just did the X amount of minutes doing various stuff. How are you feeling and how are you noticing yourself being different now from when you started? It's something I always say like trying to find a nice way to compare the beginning and the end of the class And then we have a system for the wrap up, the closing speech, which is this list of 21 or 20 plus benefits of the Yoga for BJ warm up.
Choose one, two, three or four out of that list and talk about those. This class that we just did, this warm up that we just did is a bit more guard oriented. It's a lot of balancing on your butt, butterfly guards, mobility and balancing. So you can have something that relates to like it should be related to Jiu Jitsu.
So you can talk about like today we will do in your game, you will probably do a lot of guard and now you have prepared your body really well. Both to not get injured, which is one part of the checklist and to do Jiu Jitsu better and have fun. That's three things out of the list. So if you don't know how to finish your class in a natural way, then do it unnaturally and just study a little bit.
Maybe I want to say this, this and this today and try to have that. So what you're basically the psychological reason for you wrapping up with a closing speech is to reinforce people's good feeling. Because some people, if you don't tell them that it's because of this class that they feel good, they might just think that they just have a good day. But of course, I'm really good at pissing at the normal Gracie Barra warm up, which is not a really elegant way to do it.
But you want to kind of help facilitating their mind to realize what they just did is why they feel the way they're doing now. That's basically the reason you have a closing speech. They feel really good. And hey, newsflash.
It's because we did what we just did. Let's do this tomorrow and every day. That's what I would like to convey the message. And that's what we recommend you to do, to just check on the checklist, like what a really good warm up should be.
And then tell news a little bit different every time to tell them like this is why it works and this is why you feel good. And also, I think if you can draw it back to that, probably something in the warm up was challenging. So they can have something to work on also just in the warm up before the jiu jitsu. If it's the float, if it's the lack of flexibility, like there was probably something in the warm up that they struggle with and try to remind them it will only get better if they come back.
Yeah, so what I just said is highlighting the benefits and what Stine is saying, highlighting the, not the negative part, she's highlighting the challenges and where the prioritization should be. So if you notice that you struggle a lot with the toe flexibility, great. Now you know that you should prioritize that. Because how many people haven't been away from jiu jitsu for three months because they hurt a big toe?
Because the toes really hurt. You know, you can be really relatable and highlight the issues. But also as well, now we have a tool to fix the issues. So that's another approach.
But just make sure to finish the class on a positive and encouraging note. And also always see you next week or see you tomorrow for the same class and tomorrow we will be a little bit better.
