Alright, it's time for the really cool stuff. So your students have learned belly up, belly up with switch, and they've learned the kick, and they've learned the kick with the jump. Okay, pretty cool stuff. Jiu-Jitsu acrobatics.
Real floor wizard stuff. Now, let's add the really cool stuff. Instead of going just a jump here, we're going high jump. Jump.
Boom. Boom. Boom. And there is no limit on how long you can stay in there, it's just how good you are with handstands.
So I always like to turn a simple thing like this one into an infinite skill level thing, where no matter if you're a world champion gymnast, if you come to my class, I always want everybody to have the possibility of challenging themselves. Okay, and when you have all these parts, encourage your students to freely explore at their own pace, from their own intuition, ask them to turn off their thinking brain and let their body work, and don't interpret what you're doing as correct or incorrect. Don't beat yourself up for doing it wrong. Just turn off your mind and go...
Maybe you make up something new like, whoa, matrix. Boom. Boom. High jump kick.
Start integrating it with other stuff from the floor wizard curriculum. This is like the ultimate expression of the technique and the principles that you've learned. This is what I think I can bring of value to your role as an instructor and to your students. Turning a simple thing like this, that looks simple but it's impossible for a beginner to do, into this full expression.
Boom. That looks really cool and feels awesome and gives them the joy of jiu-jitsu and the introduction to jiu-jitsu and all the concepts that will serve them for the whole journey into a simple exercise. This is my philosophy and I told you when you get to experience it and see it working in practice, you will love it.
